Too Much Fun!

I’m back from a marvelous Weekend in LA. I had a super super time, and was really sad to leave on Sunday. In fact, I had to be told, If you get another dance, you’ll have to get another flight….. L But at the cost of 3 times what I paid for the flight, I told her well sorry I got to go. LOL So we have like 11 more days until the Big AZ Steppin Event held here. I’m excited about that. So much so, that this weekend I spent thinking of new moves, and combinations for the men. Ladies, most of these DO NOT have 78 in them, and if you’re trying to figure out what the guy is doing, instead of following YOUR steps, then you’ll miss a step, and it’s over. Also ladies that love to turn, get ready. Men make sure you practice your about-face turns, and turning in general. As you’re going to see stars too. J Bring some motion sickness pills with you, you may need it. J

So see you all in class this Thursday starting at 6pm.

Basic Boot Camp 6 - 6:55pm Learn the basic concept along with some different forms of that concept

Basics Reinforced 7:05-8pm Here you’ll cover new ideas concepts and go over them step by step to grasp it

Confidence Builders 8:10 – Until (9, 9:30ish) Here we’ll practice what we learned that day, and from previous classes and go over them and make sure you have it.

My Birthday Weekend

Thanks to everyone that came out last night, remember to practice those 4 new steps we went over. I don’t know what number those will be, but I’ll take care of that this weekend. I have finished the editing the video of steps 1 – 10, and putting the finishing touches on the DVD. It will be available for purchase this weekend. The DVD displays correct footwork, along with body positions. I also show you where the LEAD or pulling is done for each step. The cost of this one is $10. I’m in the process of getting the rest of the steps 11-30 down for you too.

Now, class was very entertaining last night, I think we all had some fun, and learned a lot as well. See ladies, I told you; once you get your basics down, everything falls within those patterns. All of those new moves we did last night, weren’t anything you haven’t done in your normal basics. Everyone did VERY well last night. Please keep up the good work, and continue to practice. Here are some tips that the Infamous Angie Faine gave out: These were to and for different individuals but you may benefit from this info as well – Remember to step up on 78 and not back on 78 like you’re starting off; Remember to keep your knees bent, and stay on the balls of your feet; Remember NOT to cross in your basics UNLESS the man forces you to do so; Remember ladies while doing a pretzel you’re doing a box step. And if don’t know what that is, no worries, we’ll cover that during our next class. Now for the men, very important, when you’re doing wraps, and moving in and out of turns, keep your elbows close to you, or pointed away from your partner. And the last tip for the day, after you complete any turns, don’t travel so far away from your partner. All good things to know, and don’t worry, just take it one STEP at a time. J

The Big Show Down in AZ is less than 30 days away. Whoo Hoo! Let’s see your game face, well in this case, your dance face. 5 more weeks to iron out any kinks, which is more than enough time, providing you practice well. So we have 2 more weeks on right turns, then half turns and half Right turns, and then we’ll learn some new moves from the move list. This will allow you the ability to dance well, and think on your feet. Gentlemen, I sure hope you’ve been working on your about-Face turns.

Yes that’s right, yesterday was the last day for the FREE WORKSHOP included tickets. Now if you buy a ticket, and want to go to the workshops, you’ll pay extra. Actually $60 if you attend all three. Heck, I’m doing homework now in order to brush up on my Detroit Ballroom skills. Again, another fun dance that you can do to the more upbeat songs that we listen to. What---? You didn’t get yours? I’ll tell you what, send me an email TODAY, and I’ll hold your ticket at our great rate. There’s just one catch, you MUST pick it up by Thursday. This event is going to be epic. Ladies just think, they’ll be men from all over here to dance with YOU. And guys, beautiful women from all over will be waiting for you to ask them to dance. Well, maybe not waiting as we know this new generation, they’re doing the asking. J Nothing wrong with that, we’ve always been told to seize the day, and they do. J I have a few tickets left, and when their gone, that’s it. I can’t offer any deals on tickets online or from other members. Also, I’ll have some music CDs this Thursday, some copies of the Saturday Men Only Workshop, and later DVDs of the move list one through 30. AZSWS now has 15 different music CDs for your listening pleasure. We have combinations of slow, med, and upbeat songs that you can enjoy while you’re practicing. Practicing----- who am I kidding L Well I’ll get some practice in today, right before, and during the LAKERS game tonight. I have some more right turns to go over, and over, and over, and over------ cause I keep thinking of new ones. Well new things for the men to do, after all, a right turn is a right turn.
